Family Acknowledgement

Enda Cantwell RIP - Photo

The Cantwell family would like to express our deep and heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and great kindness shown to us on the loss of our beloved Enda. During our great grief our extended families, our friends and neighbours were and are a constant support to us all.

To Enda’s great friends and teammates from Kilkenny Rugby Club, no words can express our gratitude to you all for your support and friendship, difficult though it was losing a good friend. He would have been very proud of such an excellent squad.

To Fr. Jim Murphy and all the clergy who concelebrated Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, your ongoing support is a great consolation to us. Sincere thanks to John O’Neill, Catherine Cullen, the cathedral choir, Foulkstown choir, soloists Pat, Aoibheann and Eadaoin for the beautiful music will forever live in our memories.

To Dr. Tadhg Crowley, Dr. Gobnait Kearney and all the medical staff who cared for Enda. A special word of thanks to the paramedic personnel for their courtesy and kindness to all the family.

To the Hehir family and all the people too numerous to mention whose help and generosity knew no bounds. A special thank you to all who donated to the Aware charity.

To all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy, called to the house and attended the funeral. To those who travelled long distances to be with us and supported us in those sad days.

Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. Your prayers and expressions of sorrow help us in our loss. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Enda’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St. John’s Church on Sunday 5th August at 10.30am.

God called your name so softly,
That only you could hear,
And no one heard the footsteps
Of Angels drawing near,
The Golden Gates stood open,
God saw you needed rest,
His garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
